Welcome to Nintendo's latest and freshest multiplayer game! Is dedicated to anything and everything revolving around Splatoon! Inklings, Octolings and all other things welcome! As a somewhat new player (level 10) I have some concerns about the splat roller. I've encountered several pro players with the splat roller which make me think this weapon is really overpowered.Im curious about your opinion on this! This is the case. They use this tactic of Jump+Roller Splash. With this technique, they have quitte a good range.
In fact, they reach further then some 'guns'. This seems strange to me, since this weapon is supposed to be close range. In other words. They can kill you from a distance. And they are extremely deadly up close.
There was literally no way for me to kill this pro player. What do you think? How to beat them? Or am I right by saying its OP.BTW. I love this game. So addicting. I wouldn't call them OP.
They're strong, yes, but easily caught by surprise. Unless you're facing a carbon roller, popping out in front of them won't leave them enough time to actually flick it - the same goes for getting them from behind.
Rollers are perfect to sneak up on enemies, but they're also prone to surprises. Also, they're more or less tied to the ground. If there is a grid on a higher level, they rarely go there or even reach it. Being higher up really is a huge advantage. The keyword is 'tactics'. If you encounter an enemy using them, try to come up with a few tricks yourself. True, but it's kinda situational.
To be honest, I haven't played a ranked game yet, but your team definitely has to know what you're going for, otherwise you're just wasting your (precious painting-) time. And yes, jumping down on an enemy is effective, but still not what you should be going for, unless he is a major hindrance for the rest of your team. That depends on the game mode though. If it doesn't matter how much of the area is painted in your color, the whole game changes for roller-users, and everything you said is absolutely valid. Ultimately there is no single strategy that works for any weapon. Rollers definitely should learn how to use high points in their strategy. For example on Arowana Mall rollers are excellent at patrolling and controlling the outter ledges which can keep chargers in check. On that same level a roller rushing up the blind slope to the middle of the stage is not the best move due to the slower strike time for their weapon. Now in Walleye Warehouse where there is lots of low ground to cover you want rollers on the ground when possible.Another big part of the strategy I think is the roller taking a high, safe spot to watch the splat zone when their team is in control.
Nanosaur 2 unblocked. You can then see if there is a threat coming and react but otherwise stay out of the way. The objective isn't necessarily always be looking to score the next splat but to reach the objective fastest, even if that means sitting in a spot and waiting the match out.
